Origin
The Shakti is a rare and exotic Psilocybe cubensis strain. It is an albino mutation of the Malabar mushroom that originated in Malabar Coast, India. Malabar itself a moderately unique cube. It was discovered by 3M in Malabar, India.
Appearance
Shakti is an albino variety of Psilocybin Cubensis and thus is ghostly white giving them an almost angelic and ethereal aura while growing. This mushroom is easily identifiable due to its robust appearance, thick stems, and caps that range from rigid to wavy. Like many albinos it is also prone to blue bruising which can leave these once white mushrooms looking otherworldly.
Like it’s precursor Malabar, Shakti is known for its caps and veils. The veils may stay connected to the cap, even when the cap is fully mature. The cap itself is known to be dark in the center and it fades to a light yellow near the edge.

Shakti is a newer strain that I ran into while moseying around Colorado. I was visiting during the summer and found myself in a cabin deep in the Rockies. I’ve always enjoyed the crisp mountain air and was on this journey to gain some new perspective on my life. “It was deep. Intensely fast onset with a euphoria rush on the come up. Then went on a life journey, literally back into the womb. Stops all along integral moments in my life after, even one’s from early on in childhood I forgot. I needed that type of journey. It was an odd one, but massively intense and highly specific.”
