Psilocybin Mushroom Strain Guide

Origin

This Psilocybin Cubensis mushroom variety has been around for a while and has been a staple of many vendors for decades. It first appeared from a disreputable underground mycologist known only as “Mr. G”, who was also created the B+ variety. “Mr. G” was known for making easily discredited claims about his spores as well as making long unhinged rants attacking anyone who attempted to dispute them.  After years of toxicity, he largely vanished from public forums. Before doing so he gifted his varieties to Ryche Hawk who claims Treasure Coast originates from Southeast Florida from a region bearing the same moniker.

Appearance

One interesting and unusual aspect of Treasure Coast is its uncanny ability to produce mutated sub-strains while producing. These sub-strains will be exceptionally white and faint in color. While not true albinos but rather leucistic these faint colored mushrooms will appear next to more colorful and “normal” looking mushrooms. Often these sub-strains will be marketed as Leucistic Treasure Coast, however they do not typically exhibit more potency than your average Treasure Coast mushroom.

This coloration led “Mr.G” to pronounce Treasure coast was actually a combination hybrid of Psilocybin Cubensis and Psilocybin Azurescans. This proved false and further examination by other mycologists came to realize that while it is indeed a very interesting cubensis it is not a hybrid. This proved too much for “Mr. G” to handle and led to his unprovoked verbal attacks on others and ultimately his own discreditation.

Expected Experience

Since Treasure Coast is an older variety there are several vendors boasting about its potency. We find it somewhat middle of the road like a slightly stronger Golden Teacher. It offers a warm and uplifting surge of joy and a sense of delightful wonder. Onset can be strong, that slowly mellows out. Some claim it acts as a mild aphrodisiac and can be intoxicating in more intimate settings. A great variety for less experienced users or those looking for a more social experience.

Dr. Delic’s Field Notes

My first experience with Treasure Coast was in Key West where I had been invited by an old acquittance for a fishing trip. After a beautiful day on the water, we retreated to her place to catch some recluse from the sun. We dosed after dinner.

At one point I stopped tracking what time it was. Really starting to feel it, the separation between the bulbs on the strings of light is non-existent. The glow of the lights are definitely getting larger, and the room feels warm and loving.

Key West remains wonderfully weird and strange.
