Melmac

Psilocybin Mushroom Strain Guide

Origin

The name is a throwback reference to the planet Melmac from the American sitcom Alf. Airing from 1986 to 1990 the series follows the friendly extraterrestrial Gordon Shumway from the planet Melmac who crash-landed onto Earth and is taken into an American household where hilarity obviously ensues. A tongue in cheek way to say this variant takes you out of this world!

A variant of the Penis Envy family it can also be known as Homestead Penis Envy. Since these strains have been around since the 1970’s the history is a bit murky some claim it is lab-grown revision of the original Penis envy cut. Other claim this is actually the reverted form and more closely resembles those original 1970’s mushrooms. Whichever is true expect a wild ride like anything from this lineage.

Appearance

These mushrooms belong to the Psilocybin Cubensis species and have namesake distinct features that set them apart from other varieties. It’s defining appearance is their thick, gnarly stems, which give them an unusual and intriguing look. Additionally, Melmac mushrooms showcase wavy, often split caps that further enhance their distinctiveness. The caps have a washed-out beige hue as opposed to golden brown caps from other varieties. Often they exhibit bluish-greenish bruising, a natural process that occurs when the mushrooms are handled and is rumored to be an indicator of their potency.

Expected Experience

Recommended for experienced users as onset is almost immediately full power making borderline disorienting due to its quickness. After that initial burst you are hit with wonderous a vibrant visuals visual effects, that can make the room appear to “melt”. Between moments of visual astonishment, you can expect deep introspective thoughts. Higher doses may result in an almost out of body experience.

Dr. Delic’s Field Notes

Hand’s down one of the most powerful and potent experiences I have had. “The music started, and the sky was swirling around. I closed my eyes and saw some patterns under my eyelids as well, but the REAL fun began once I re-opened them, and night sky twisted and exploded in a multicolored display of the cosmos.”
