Now while the name suggests these mushrooms may have originated from the swamps of Dagobah or the lower levels of Coruscant, Jedi Mind Fuck mushrooms are rumored to have been first cultivated in Georgia. During a magic mushroom hunt, an individual known as Mycojoe stumbled upon some mushrooms in a pile of cow dung. He brought them home and began to cultivate them, starting with the wild spores. Through careful cultivation and selection, Mycojoe isolated the most potent spores, eventually developing a strain that produced large and powerful mushrooms. Recognizing its unique qualities, Mycojoe began distributing the mushrooms under the name Jedi Mind Fuck, a name he likely coined after his first experience with them.

However, there is debate in the community with some claiming this is just a variation of Z-Strain, which has its own murky origin story. Whichever the case you should certainly feel the power of the force for yourself.

Appearance

Jedi Mind Fuck mushrooms (Psilocybe cubensis) are known for their thick, sturdy white stems and large, convex caps that range from light tan to caramel brown. As they mature, the caps flatten and may become slightly wavy. The mushrooms often bruise blue, indicating high psilocybin content. They are also known for producing large fruiting bodies, making them visually impressive and popular among growers for their high yields.

Jedi Mind Fuck (JMF) mushrooms offer an intense, mind-bending experience often compared to the “Jedi Mind Tricks” from Star Wars. I’ve always found it kind of funny how crazy the bathroom can be on psychedelics. Maybe it’s because it’s a place to cleanse yourself or maybe it’s just the fact that there’s always a large mirror there.

“I arrived back at home to go have my shower. By this point the trip was beginning to take full grips of me, so I went to have a shower, a place of usual heavy insights. Before I had my shower, I looked in the mirror. HAHA, the mirror got me good, it felt as if I connected with myself on the other side, and we swapped. I experienced everything as a reflection. Suddenly I was just a reflection of the world that existed around me, a mirror of perception, and an overwhelming sense of quantum physics washed over me, I was now placed in the realm of limitless possibilities. As the walls were no longer white and began to pulse many different colors, like psychedelic bubbles all over the walls, and the thoughts of me eating an orange and confusing it with a certain song were all very possible as well. Walls ceased to exist after this and I forgot where I was standing, only to look back into the mirror, catch my own eyes again, and instantly everything was normal again. I stepped back from the mirror a little shaken up by the experience and stepped into the shower.”
