Psilocybin Mushroom Strain Guide

Origin

Golden Teachers derive their name from their golden appearance and the potential for enlightening experiences. It’s a common variety for many people’s first psilocybin cubensis experience since the 1970’s.  Yet despite its ready availability in the community nobody seems to know exactly where the Golden Teacher variety came from. It is rumored to have been discovered in the Gulf region of the USA but that cannot be confirmed.

Golden Teachers have been a dominant and prolific force in mycology community for over 50 years. It’s a favorite amongst mycologists for its hearty, abundant flushes, and reliable potency.  This has also lead it to be one of the most studied and isolated varieties leading to the emergence of True Albino Teachers, Yeti, Golden Emperor and many more.

Appearance

Golden Teachers are going to be what most people with even a cursory knowledge will picture as psilocybin mushrooms. Small golden, brown, and beige caps emerging from long thin stalks. Thin veils form beneath the caps before dropping spores. Colonizing and fruiting times might be slightly slower than average.
