Psilocybin Mushroom Strain Guide

Origin

Like many varieties of Psilocybin Cubensis it is hard to pinpoint the exact origin of the Enigma. Having been floating around in select circles since at least the early 90’s the clones were shared amongst exclusive and elite mycologists. It was considered somewhat uncouth to sell the strain but rather to gift between friends. However, since the surge in Psilocybin’s popularity over the last 5 years it appears the secret may be out. That being said, it is still a difficult, slow growing mushroom and thus remains rare.

Appearance

This strain is a blob mutation that does not sporulate. It’s eternally stuck living across a single generation, through clones. It possesses aesthetic characteristics significantly different from a traditional mushroom. The Enigma grows just like other Psilocyben Cubensis mushrooms by pinning, but instead of developing into mushrooms with caps, they remain as pins until they get larger and start merging with each other, creating a dense brain-like blob of mycelial matter. The masses of fungal tissues that grow do not produce spores and start turning bluish when they are ready for harvest. The blobs are dense and slow growing which contributes to its extremely high potency.

Expected Experience

Recommended for experienced users and to start slow if this is your first time with the Enigma. 1-2 grams is a great place to start and then more if you feel it’s necessary. The effects can be quite quick on the come-up and once it goes it really tends to hit. The euphoric experience of this mushroom is often described as a warm embrace from a loved one. Users report vivid visual hallucination, profound philosophical and introspective ideations, intense feelings of love, unity, and connection with others around them & the universe. My longtime friend in my travels who everyone simply calls the “Bear” invited me back to his home for a gathering of like-minded individuals in Northern California. There was a party on his neighbor’s property following another successful harvest season and he promised to show me something “out of this world.” Back on his property he showed me his pet project that is hands down the strangest mushroom I’ve ever seen growing like a coral reef in his clean room. I took a couple grams while he finished some chores on the farm. I chose to set some intentions for self-reflection before ingesting as a I would be by myself for a few hours

“I felt an immediate wave of the mushroom tingle I know and love surge through my body starting at my feet and finishing at my head. I realized very quickly I was going to be in for quite the adventure. Now I close my eyes and let the magic begin.

As I am closing my eyes everything is black for maybe just one second. I start seeing rainbow lines appear and move. These lines quickly transform into complex geometry that are colors so bright and vivid.

However, it I felt a wave of unease bubble from inside myself and realized my intention were manifesting themselves. I close my eyes and I am transported into the study of my home which was a place I had been building resentment for. It showed me my flaws and helped me understand what makes me so angry there. I watched it break down my common day like a machine and fix the wrongs I was making.

This brought tears to my eyes because I truly seen myself and my issues in a new light, I was able to grasp understand and learn from. Only then when the mushrooms knew I understood their lesson is when I was able to re-open my eyes.

I was suddenly swept up by energy and ready to stop being alone. Luckily Bear had returned with a large grin upon his face we decided to take another 3 grams before heading out to his neighbors.
